January 2011 Show-N-Tell

January begins a new year and new developments. This month Donelle shared with the group a great technique for creating a bow-tie block and just look at this great quilt... what a way to use up of that stash!

See the little pocket this technique creates--- you can just leave that there as Donelle has done or there are a few other possibilities too.

The group then got their hands busy with some fabric and some needles to put the technique to practical terms....

Yeah -- look how easy Colleen says!

And here is Donelle's example of how she will be handling the edge of the quilt.

Rick shared his completed Frolic quilt with the group.

Janet B. shared this lovely quilt inspired by a journey to the Southwest USA ---

and look at the back too!

Mary Ellen shared this lovely towel creation with a great rooster on it!

Colleen shared a great fall wool table topper.

And this yummy holiday quilt.

Julie brought some wonderful towels she's created for Mardi Gras... it's right around the corner.
